Born in 1919 in Poland, he fled to the USSR in the wake of the Nazi occupation and, in 1942, was arrested, accused of anti-Soviet incitement and sentenced to 8 years imprisonment. Released in 1950, he was unable to get to Israel until 1957. Remember & Save website
